phases of Moon and Tides

Sarah was outside looking up at the sky on a clear night. She was thinking to her self what would a new moon looks like up close. Then Taylor came up to see what Sarah was doing and she told her that she was wondering what the moon phases looked like up close.  Sarah and Taylor went to NASA to ask a professor   about the moon phases. Then they asked how the moon changed the tides . The professor explained what a high tide and a low tide was. After they got done asking about the tides they went home. They did research about the moon , stars and sun. They learned about nuclear fusion and sunspots, and about how a star was born and how it died. Its called a super nova when a star dies and a nebulae. Then they learned about the sun. They learned that the surface of the sun is called photosphere. And that the age of the sun is 4.6 billion years old and that color is yellow. Also that the outermost layer of the sun is called corona. then the learned about stars and the largest star is a red giant and its called Betelgeuse. They found out the different temperatures and brightness of stars by looking at the  Hertzsprung-Russell diagram or the H-R diagram. Then they went to Louisiana state university collage to learn more about space they asked the professor there that had to do with Astronomy.they learned about the solar system including the inner planets, outer planets, asteroids , meteorite and etc. they learned that the inner planets are Mercury , Venus , Earth and Mars they are called the inner planets because they are closest to the sun. the outer planets are  Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune because they are gas giants. The inner planets  and the outer planets are separated but the asteroid belt .They learned that the moon was made by asteroids hitting it. the last thing they learned about was that space is like a vacuum  it has black holes , stars, and planets  but who knows what is up in space.
